There are plenty more positions that need expensively strengthening before we need to start on Hart. Sure, he makes mistakes. Every keeper does, just like every other player ever. Messi missed a crucial penalty. Let's spend our money in new full backs, centre backs, midfielders and strikers. We may have unlimited funds but there are still limits on what we can spend, especially as prices for Premiership clubs have gone through the roof.

I thought (as the last line of defence) Joe should have done better with the shot but, with better defenders in front of him, he wouldn't have, and shouldn't have, had to deal with it in the first place. When you look at the way both N Ireland and Wales defended on Sunday, committed, organised and, when it mattered, putting their bodies on the line in order to block a shot and then watch as England's central defenders just let Iceland stroll through them. Nobody even attempted to stop him getting that shot in, unfortunately that's when you need your keeper to pull you out of the shit, and Joe didn't last night or against Wales.
If Lee Dixon can assess Icelands threat from throw ins and sort out a plan to deal with it in half an hour and, other than mentoring the Arsenal lad Jenkinson, he doesn't do any coaching, why on earth couldn't 'England's greatest right back' Gary Neville sort it in a week. Then, as Dixon highlighted, not change it at half time when we'd conceded because of it.

The guy has been garbage in this tournament and if he did not play for us we would be slating him also.

Pep would not be doing his job if he chose not to look at Joe.

Last season we saw his constant punching of crosses. His bad distribution.

In regards his distribution, why is it that his distribution for the Euros stands at 76% ( up there with the best ) yet his distribution for City last season in the Prem was at 52%?

Either his footwork has come on leaps and bounds in a month or there's another reason for it.

Riddle me that.

The fact remains your goal keeper gains confidence from the players in front of him. The second goal was his fault but the first had he come for its and missed or been bundled out of it he'd have been slated even more. I would seriously question the defence who knew that this missile was coming and the levels of concentration were absent 34 seconds after taking a lead.

But when all said done if you can't beat Iceland even giving them a goal start you have issues. Hodgson is a clown and should have gone after the world cup debarcle what do you expect from a second rate manager?

For a start, the Premier League is 38 games & he's played 4 in the Euro's.....

Fantastic Goalkeeper and very happy he plays for us. Kept us in the biggest games time and time again.

And will continue to do so.

Yeah, he has his problems, but everyone does. No need to look elsewhere in my opinion.
