AK is probably quite instructive in that he is likely to have been on the out list prior to Pep arriving yet clearly he has bought into Pep's methods and embraced playing as CB for the good of the team and this positive attitude has won Pep's support. If Joe had done something similar then it is likely he would have bought himself a season to adapt.
It's possible AK may not have the skill set long term to work for Pep but right now it's all about attitude and a willingness to listen and learn and take that onto the pitch. This situation has escalated because of Joe's refusal to show Pep that he is willing to listen and learn.
Precisely, ask any but the most deluded fan who is the best centre half mangala or kolorov and who is the best keeper Joe or willy and the answer would be mangala and Joe. The fact that willy and kolorov played yesterday can only mean the manager made the decision based on either tactics attitude or a combination of both. These are absolutely what a manager should be basing his decisions on. Why people wet their knickers over it is anyone's guess.
