I get why the Hart defenders are reacting the way they are in this thread but it is clear (well, I hope it should be but it clearly isn't registering with some) that he doesn't have the required skill set to play the kind of role that Pep demands of his goalie.
Now don't get me wrong, he's a very good goalkeeper and has played a huge part in getting City to where we are today but this team is organic and evolving and I'm sorry to say Joe is being left behind. Not being left behind in a regression of ability in my opinion but rather that this team going in a new tactical and technical direction. We are upgrading the team in most areas, sentiment should not dictate that we ignore this particular position in our team.
When you chuck in his poor form and his preoccupation with how he's perceived by everyone else (his pre game shenanigans get right on my tits, less chest thumping shouty shouty might help you focus a bit more Joe, mate!) it's easy to see why we would be even more keen to upgrade, especially when there are players of the calibre of Bravo and Stegen supposedly available.
The big win in all this as well is that he is a hugely saleable asset so we'd hopefully make a fuck ton of cash on any sale. I love you Joe, thanks for everything but I love City more!
