This is all his own doing... Personally, I couldn't care less, however, regardless of what he has and hasn't done, he's a flawed keeper and overrated, imo!!

I just don't like the way the club operate at times. Sacking Mancini was the right thing to do, getting rid of Joe is probably the right thing to do. I just don't see why they have to justify it with a smear campaign afterwards. If shit happened whilst they're at City and the club were happy to keep it quiet, then it's more than a bit fucking snidey to use it as an excuse to get the fans onside afterwards. It's snide and it's underhand.

Rightly so when it comes out, which it's about to...

No need for all that smear nonsense. There was no need it for it with Mancini and no need for it now with Hart. Pep wants to build a team entirely in his image that's fine and he has the mandate to do so just get on with it without resorting to any tedious smear bollocks.

Just to recap a little bit...

1. It's well known Pep Guardiola wants a new goalkeeper with better distribution.

2. Pep has excluded Joe Hart from the lineup in favour of Willy so far and looks set to continue to do so.

3. Joe is according to many reports, among them from Ian Cheeseman, not taking this particular exclusion very well.

4. Joe's attitude is a massive turnoff for Pep, regardless of his abilities, and could see him ultimately sold off.

5. City have been linked to multiple goalkeepers and have already lined up Geronimo Rulli for the future, but seem set to acquire Claudio Bravo for the here and now.

The reaction in this thread is baffling, on both accounts. On one hand we have a group seemingly waiting for any opportunity to have a go at Joe for being a tit to a ballboy ages ago. On the other hand, we have some who come in flapping about how Joe is a legend, bigger than the club and all this shouldn't be happening to him. Both of these things are irrelevant.

Pep Guardiola has every right to pick his team and City will back him to the hilt. If Joe Hart doesn't fit into those plans, or worse he's actively damaging Pep's plans, then he's out. No talk of legends, no bandwagoning about ballboys. It all doesn't matter if Pep doesn't want to play Joe and, guess what? He doesn't.

No player is bigger than any club, and the only player in our squad that is irreplaceable at the moment is Aguero because Barca wont part with Messi and I think Suarez and Lewandowski are equal but no better to Kun. Sergio is the clubs greatest legend thanks to 93:20 and no amount of "world-class" saves or years of service compare to what Kun or even Yaya have done on the pitch.

Joe is deserving of and will receive a very warm welcome upon his return to City whatever shirt he's in. It'll be a wonderful occasion in 2032 when the club has some "2012 Premier League Champions Anniversary" event and Hart and Mario, Micah, Mancini, Dzeko... everyone but Johnson, are all celebrated and smiling back at the Etihad. But as of this moment going into the 2016-17 season, Claudio Bravo, who is superior to just about every goalkeeper in the PL (except maybe Courtois) is unquestionably the best choice for the club to play Pep's style and win us the most silverware.

Thanks for a fantastic 10 years at the club Joe and enjoy picking the ball out your net after Kun bests you LOL.

Agreed , a lot of it going on here at the moment . Very similar to Bobby

If I felt that Joe had been given a fair chance by Guardiola I would say ok, let him go, but he has only played one game for Guardiola and that was not in the PL. As I said when Guardiola was appointed I'll support him because he is our Manager but I am not going to say that he is the greatest manager in the world until he proves it with City. So I have/am giving him respect, but I don't feel that he is giving Joe respect. The way Guardiola has backed Sterling, when the media had it in for him, was superb but the media also had it in for Joe after the England fiasco and he has not come out and backed Joe.

And before you say respect has to be earned, that works both ways. Joe has to earn Guardiola's respect and vice versa. IMHO

Tbf stony, the only underhand person in this matter is Hart...this predates Pep yet he's tried to be a smartarse with him. I'm leaving it there on this one, you'll be in full agreement by the end of this one..

Completely flawed, overrated and worse yet believes his own hype.

Christ, it's the return of the Mac (:

Good to see you back.... Totally agree re:hart, had a good few fooled for far too long and should of been pumped after what he did to Bobby!!

Why is saying he should leave as a legend flapping? do you dismiss his achievements when he has gone? that is a nonsense,he will always be a big part in our best years,be gracious and say thanks and goodbye

Yeah good luck with that. I think the saddest thing about all this is how there are a select few people on here who are so very gleefully happy Joe is going. They're not happy we're getting an improvement goalkeeper, they're happy Joe has got the boot. I just think that is sad as he has given his all to our club for the last 10 years, been with us on our journey of being shit to winning trophies, and has put in some truly amazing performances, especially in Europe where he spared our blushes many a time.

We have to get fully behind Pep and if that means Joe has to go then so be it. But he deserves the respect and appreciation he has earned over the last 10 years.

'' With flake free locks of shiny hair,
your beauty is beyond compare,
Willy can't compete with you, Joe Hart'...

Joe Hart Joe Hart Joe Hart Joe Haa-aarrrt,
I'm begging of you please....don't kick it long........

Thanks to Dolly, theres a new song for ya....
