Joe has been great for us but he's failed to improve on his issues and teams exploit it.

He's still vunerable to low shots to his left-hand side, his distibution is diabolical and he still has a tendency to push shots back into dangerous areas.

If he's willing to stay and improve then great, if not then thanks for the memories, it was emotional.

Karen7, Is this where I say "I told you so!"???

IIRC, it was you who was giving me shit for saying some of these things LAST SEASON...or am I mistaken and it was a different female member?

Regardless, I don't want him to be supplanted by Bravo. I'd much prefer to see Joe stay as #1 and bring on Gunn as his eventual successor over the next few seasons. I think Hart is one of the best shot stoppers IN THE WORLD, and there are very very few GKs who can be a better player than him in the Prem. Ter Stegen certainly has age on his side, but at 67M, that is pure stupidity.

If we have that kind of money to throw around in the last two weeks of the window, I'd much prefer it be spent on other areas.

If we're selling to Everton, charge them just as much as they would fucking charge us.

None of this cut price shit. Not with them.

If Bravo is ~20 million, Joe is easily that.

Bravo is going to get closed down in this league. He's going to need a serious bedding in period with set pieces as well. This is a really unnecessary transfer.
Oh shit you were being serious.

How the fuck are you not employed by the club instead of Pep? Or at least with him to tell him he's wrong?

I'm sure that Harts footballing ability can be replaced. But what about his personality? What about his leadership qualities? What about actually giving a fuck to clap the fans at the end?

I don't care if we're playing the best football and winning every possible trophy, if there aren't players who in some way or represent the fans on the pitch then it's just not the same for me anymore. With Kompany injured frequently and Zabaleta's slight decline in form I'm worried we're losing a lot of our identity.

Maybe the new signings can fill the void of these three players. I'm willing to wait and see but last season it wasn't our dreadful league performance that pissed me off the most. It was the way management and players had no respect for the fans. That better not be the case this season, regardless of how we perform.
Assuming that Hart is a great influence in the dressing room (hmmm), you do realise that Bravo has captained his country for a good few years and is a born leader?

The players leaving, Hart, Yaya and Nasri do indeed have big personalities, they've been wagging the dog for a while and it's no surprise Pep appears to have sidelined them.

You may think we take our identity from those three but I don't. I simply thank them for their contribution and wish them well.

"Mate if you think Hart couldn't match Bravo's passing stats knocking it to the centre halves 5 yards away you need to give your head a wobble"

Joe's problem is we have 2 CBs. By the time he decides which one to pass to a long ball for a throw in is his only possibility.

So have we gone from being excited about having the most innovative and succesful coaches in world football to "he doesn't know what he's doing regarding the goalkeeper" in a few weeks? His results show we should trust his judgement
To be fair there's only one very vocal poster doing that.
