It's going to be hard to take Joe going for the majority of fans so Txiki at least needs to be getting good money for him. There's literally no reason whatsoever to let him go on the cheap. £30 million bare minimum, should really be able to name our price for a 29 year old top class international goalkeeper that is also homegrown
Other than the fact he is obviously surplus to requirements and being actively shopped around? Because that will obviously hugely affect his value, as will his high wages and the fact that we realistically aren't going to sell him outside of England, then there are only a small number of clubs who need a keeper. We'll do well to get £20m for him imo, can't see a club at our level interested in buying him. Maybe Everton, West Ham, then you're looking at very ordinary premier league sides beyond that, unless Liverpool want him despite buying a new keeper already. It's a tough sale

He is being forced out and you expect him to be smiling,as i said don't be a dick

In the late 70's Barnes and Owen were forced out of the club to join WBA. It has come to light that Owen cried his eyes out whilst being driven by his dad to sign for the baggies.

Joe has to go it appears.

He's a decision to make, does he want to be a pro footballer, or buy/start a business and live in the real World.

He'll choose playing footie imo.

Thanks for the memories Joe but it appears you've gotta go.

I wish you well, however my love of City means I hope never acheive anything at the expense of City.

He's been a bit of a liability for a long time now and his performances for England during the Euros were pretty awful. Club of our ambition needs to have a Gk who is at least in the top 6 in the league and I don't think we have one in Joe sadly.

I'd have to disagree. I think we're well past talking about him staying, however there is little between him, De Gea, Cech and Courtois. Certainly up until last season (inclusive), I wouldn't have taken any of them over him. Had our side been more defensive and had he played the extra games that he missed, he'd have run away with the golden glove award again. He was shit in the Euros, but so was almost everyone and that defence was bobbins at actually defending.
I see the major problem being where he can go in this country. Rags, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs all have top 'keepers, Liverpool have just signed 2, and it would be an insult for him to go anywhere else tbh. What's he going to do, go to Everton, West Ham, Stoke, Southampton??? Not trying to be offensive but he's put in some of the best CL performances of all time and the perfect way to ruin someone's career is for them to leave a top club, almost inexplicably, and then end up at a mid-table side.
I'd also hate to see him in this country because other people might appreciate how good he really is. I fully appreciate how he won't work in Pep's system, it's not that he can't pass a ball 10 yards, but I reckon he's a traditional 'keeper who doesn't want to see his defenders dicking about with the ball because it makes him nervous. I'm not disagreeing with Pep's system, I love it, just as a former 'keeper I know the feeling.
I also think it's best he goes (unless he wants to spend time on the bench learning the passing game), because he's too good to sit on the bench anywhere and I believe that's the message Pep is giving. Not that he thinks Willy or Willy's distribution is better, but that Joe is too good to be on the bench but sadly he's also not the right fit for his side. If he didn't rate him, he'd just bench him. The fact he wants him to move on is acknowledging his talent and wanting to see him fulfill it in a different system.
He'll probably end up at Everton despite Stekelenburg's return to form (which is why they should not go in for him). Would be great to see him succeed abroad. Italians would probably love him.

its hard to imagine the city we see now without joe hart tbh. hes been an absolute stalwhart for the past 6 years, and provided us with some unforgettable moments and shown unbelievable passion for the club. i do feel however that all good things have to come to an end and i think over the past couple of season we have seen mistakes creep into his game that bit more regularly than we're used toseeing, and combined with the fact he simply doesnt fit into pep's style of football i think its perhaps time to bid him farewell. if he does go i wish him the best of luck
