He needs to stay at the club, fight for his place and prove himself to pep. If by Jan he still isn't getting anywhere then fair play let him go. He's a hero at city and selling him is like selling the heart of the club! We need people who are passionate about us like he is. It's put me off Pep a bit, there's no need to make an example of a great clubman just to show you're the boss!

Pmsl, poorest Rag wind up attempt yet.

2 out of our last 3 managers have wanted Hart out of the club. Mancini & Guardiola. The other one dropped him. That's very very telling.

I do not believe this is simply due to his ability and Ian Cheeseman basically says as much on that Cityzen podcast.

Personally, I like Hart and would have liked him to have been given a chance but I do not know what he is like behind the scenes etc.

I would also agree that the weakest part of his game is his distribution so if the manager needs a keeper to have that ability right now then that's up to the manager.

Unfortunately I think we'll be hearing a few stories about Hart's character behind the scenes over the next week weeks.

You may have listened but you certainly didn't hear it. My pleasure by the way. ;-)

Thing is there is gonna be a big split over this decision, and it's showing on here as well,so you and your fellow mods will be better sitting on the fence over this I think, not putting names like Ian Cheeseman into frame by thinking if he says it,it must be true scenarios.

I have listened to it,and he did sit on the fence,to a degree, which he would have to do in his position, however he did sort of surmise that JH was an unlikeable fella, again that's his call, but doesn't mean he should be hung out to dry on here as well, maybe because JH has not given him the time of day.

I ain't buying into the fact that he does not know JH,he been with us 10 bloody years,so does he know say Aguero better, whose been with us less ?

The fact here is he is being made out to be a ****,when deep down we know he has been superb for us,I couldn't give a fuck what his private life is,he's always been a CIty great over this last few years especially.

Blah blah blah - but we have a chance of getting a better player. It is sport - couldn't care less if Joe is a twat or not personally - just want a great team. Joe in my opinion is decent but not amazing keeper and Bravo is clearly far more suited to our system. That's the end of it. Dunney was great for us but he got moved on. Given was a great keeper - Hart replaced him. City have done nothing wrong and have made Joe Hart a very wealthy man.

Amazing to see how he has gone from public enemy number one in the media after the Euros to being one of the worlds best keepers and a victim of Pep and City's evil empire.

While Sweinsteiger rots away with the kids without a whimper being said. Doing it the right way and the horrible City way.

Sigh.

how do we know thats true though. does ian chessman really know hart that well ? besides if hart performs on the pitch, which he has down for years thats all that matters, couldn't care less about his private life.

there seems to be some sort of effort to make out hart is a ****, because he might be leaving. there was barely any of this talk or rumor before we knew he might be leaving

Its basically left for Joe to make the call - Be one of the stand-by keepers for Bravo & fight for his place. Or he can go elsewhere if he doesnt like that.

All Pep has done is to go for an upgrade in the GK position. Just like tomorrow he might do with Aguero if Messi is available. Its elite mentality. Thats why we hired him for.

And if Willy has spent more training sessions under Pep & is more willing to adapt, he got the call ahead of Hart for the first 2-3 games. I dont see a reason for all the media drama & circus. There is no circus for Yaya or Nasri who hv also been great players for City. Just coz he is English? And Pep didnt drop Hart off the plane like he has done for Yaya, Nasri, Bony, etc. Why this furore? Did ppl cry & make petitions when MP was replaced by Pep? Look at the neighbours - sentimentality & stupidity along with media circus is precisely why the Rags are unable to offload Rooney. Elite clubs keep upgrading. Barca had to replace the likes of Romario, Laudrup, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Eto, Deco, Valdes, etc for the greater benefit of the club. When there are upgrades available, u aim for them.

It is still upto Hart. Pep hasnt banished him to the reserves. He hasnt banned him from the training pitch. He is still part of the squad like everyone else. Its upto Hart to decide to stay and improve and fight. Or look elsewhere. No player's starting position is guaranteed in the squad just coz they hv played 5y/8y/10y/15y in the past. Unfortunate for Hart & a difficult situation to deal with even for us fans, but not some catastrophe like many ppl hv portrayed. At the top clubs, it happens to one key player or the other, EVERY season!
