Nope.

All the academy keepers are being taught to play out from the back. Pep is setting up City's trademark style for the future & incoming managers will be expected to carry it on.

Some people do miss the strategic aspect of what the club does. Each coach will have their own ways but the core concept will remain and that is rooted in being a team that dominates possession and requires every player to be good on the ball.

It would also put us back to square one with the academy teams, all being taught one way whilst the first team manager plays 442 & lets the keeper boot it (mentioning no names).

It's what Pep refers to as learning the language. The academy players are learning that language so the can speak it when they get to the first team. Future managers will be recruited because they can speak the lingo...

In the long run it'll simply be our identity.

its hard to comprehend how something so trivial cannot be coached into a top class goalkeeper. maybe it was more to do with doing this under pressure, maybe he just didnt have the composure. skill/technique is something that can be drilled into a player given enough effort and time, but composure is something trickier to master.

i still believe it was most probably a combination of all that we have mentioned, when added up they became too much to persevere with for Pep.

3 weeks ago i thought we had a top class goalkeeper who would be the cornerstone of the squad, but now it looks like he is a square peg not fitting into a round hole. he's still top class, unfortunately just not in our system :(
What a load of bollocks. I've been wrong before like expecting Bobby Manc to still be here after the Wigan match.

Joe Hart is pure quality and bleeds blue. He's a very good manager:but if guardiola sacks him off instead of trying to nurture the best from him, he's an idiot

And Vieira is starting to put down a marker, by making a good fist of getting a bunch of troglodytes & pensioners to play the 'City way' in New York.

Joe Hart is absolutely not the only keeper with the 'quality' we require at City. He is one of a decent sized bunch & there will be more coming through around the world.

Legend yes, popular yes, essential, absolutely not.
