So all last year Joe continued to kick it long, a lot of the time to Aguero & it just came right back, at the time I though it was the manager as surely Joe wanted to keep possession?
So the upshot is I think either Joe is a bit thick ie keep hoofing it up & losing possession or won't change?
You would think Joe would benefit as much as anyone with Pep in charge?
Clearly not...

Assuming that Hart is a great influence in the dressing room (hmmm), you do realise that Bravo has captained his country for a good few years and is a born leader?

The players leaving, Hart, Yaya and Nasri do indeed have big personalities, they've been wagging the dog for a while and it's no surprise Pep appears to have sidelined them.

You may think we take our identity from those three but I don't. I simply thank them for their contribution and wish them well.

This is one of the most vital posts I've ever read on Bluemoon.

As a fan of Man City, or any Club for that matter, it's important to remember this.

Watched Joe and Willy going through their routines with Mancisidor before the Sunderland game and it was clear Joe was superior on the shot stopping and catching crosses. However they were then half-volleying it back and only once did Joe manage it without Mancisidor having to move to catch it,while Willy put it into his hands almost every time.
While in the big scheme of things this is fairly minor it's obviously an example of what Pep thinks should be more natural.
I also think while most people's emphasis has been on Joes ball control I've a feeling his judgement of when to come outside his box is a factor in what's going on.I can think of quite a few occasions when he's seriously misjudged his timing on this and the style we're likely to be playing means this is a important part of the game.

Some people do miss the strategic aspect of what the club does. Each coach will have their own ways but the core concept will remain and that is rooted in being a team that dominates possession and requires every player to be good on the ball.

The philosophy has been similar for a few years. Retaining posession, controlling the game. The problem has been when the team is not on song, low in confidence, or often away from home the passes have been horizontal across the pitch as the structure was not in place and a manager demanding the club goes vertical between the lines. It has been wasted, mundane posesssion.

Peo will add the structure and the pressing and if that is thr new philosophy I would expect to see Tuchel from Dortmund turn up in three years

I personally thought in the Arsenal friendly when Joe came on for second half, he thought up yours Pep I'm doing it my way. He made no attempt to play it short and as much as I love Joe, I think his treatment since has been self inflicted

What a load of bollocks. I've been wrong before like expecting Bobby Manc to still be here after the Wigan match.

Joe Hart is pure quality and bleeds blue. He's a very good manager:but if guardiola sacks him off instead of trying to nurture the best from him, he's an idiot

Yeah that idiot who is regarded as the best football coach in the world...

Some people need to grasp that Hart is not as good as the media and himself make out.

If he thinks its a challenge with the team, he's going to face a serious challenge changing our fans.

I'm sure he knows this well. I can still recall how little credit Graeme Souness used to give Barcelona & Pep, until he won everything...repeatedly. When he talks about Barcelona now, he talks with massive respect - a stubborn & opinionated former English football star actually reversed course, completely. He was merely one pundit but that has long been the view from afar, especially in England - I mean, the wet night in Stoke, the small players, ball playing keepers etc.

Pep is no doubt inspired by the challenge of not only revitalizing City into a footballing powerhouse but also to revolutionize English football & fans with this brand of football. I can't wait to see it happen
