it's political and i don't buy that he's needs a sweeper keeper and can play from the back joe hart is great with his feet and kicking and i would say the best in the league at both.
No, no he isn't. Saying he is just makes anything else you say redundant because how anybody watching him for the last few years can reach the conclusion that his kicking is the best in the league is so ridiculous I can only presume you're having a bit of a laugh at our expense. There's loyalty then there's blind loyalty. You've just shown which camp you're in.

You wouldn't be wrong about him at all,it's easy to say he should stay and fight as we are not in his shoes,he is currently 2nd choice,3rd if bravo comes,he has his career to think about and he might feel that he can't play the way pep wants,it is the opposite of how he has played for 25 yrs,it'll be no stain on his character if he leaves, only those who want him gone would say that and throw that around with glee
I only mean in the sense that I personally wouldn't take anything in life lying down and I'd give it my all before calling it quits and then know in my own mind I tried my best and came short. I always thought from his persona and interviews over the years he'd be similar. If Roy gave Jack the job at the euros, I'd like to think Joe wouldn't of retired from England for example.

No. I sound like a realist. You sound like a kid with adhd. "the jury's still out" "Pep's done nothing so far" "Pep hasn't delivered yet". Fuck's sake Tony, what have you been sniffing?

And to say I sound like a rag for actually seeing sense over sentiment? Jog on fella, you're having a laugh.

I wouldn't get so emotionally attached to City's stars. They very very rarely feel the same. You're on a hiding to nothing.
You were just talking about Georgey fucking Best!!

I prefer the Argy connection to the Spaniards, English, French or Chinese. Melbourne or new York, that's just me. Manchester City till I die. I ain't trolling.

I get you,but it's difficult to unlearn skills you have used for 25yrs,it would be no shame to realistic about your ability to change that much,he has a strong confident character and he might just decide its not feasable and walk away, plus he probably can see pep really doesn't fancy him despite what he says in public

it's political and i don't buy that he's needs a sweeper keeper and can play from the back joe hart is great with his feet and kicking and i would say the best in the league at both. but in the back ground joe hart is a main part of the old guard and got some power and respect from players and under pellegrini he was doing whatever he likes and picked the games he wanted to play even the league cup final joe hart let willy play in my book

joe may need a move to fresh him up and start a new and a clean break would give him something to show his new club but i will say joe hart is a winner and will only move if he feels the club don't want him and the new club are a winning club with champions league football

You are obviously on the wum

Yeah I do get that, I've just always been on the side of thinking he's caplable of providing what Pep needs, maybe not at the level of Neuer, which many on here measure him to, but certainly enough to warrant a season as the cup keeper to have the chance to prove himself. Just an eternal optimist I guess.

Sorry if this has been posted before but you can watch the first half of Pep's press conference here in full. Hear it from him directly – he spoke about Joe alone for almost 20 mins.

My take after watching a part of it:

1. Pep has told Hart about his requirements about being his GK.

2. Pep said his style of playing has been the same since he was 13 years old. He's not gonna change now. He keeps saying that he needs to 'convince' the players to play his way.

3. Pep is not pushing Hart out, he is simply choosing to play Willy over him.

4. Pep mentioned that nobody – not a single person – is an automatic starter for the team.

5. Pep mentioned that WIlly is better for Pep's style RIGHT NOW. He doesn't say that it's going to last forever. If Hart improves in the future, he can play again.

6. If Hart stays, Pep will train him and he will definitely improve – with time.

7. Pep mentioned that he's not pushing for players to be sold, but it is their choice if they want to leave, and Pep will not prevent them from leaving.

8. If Yaya, Bony, Mangala, Joe, Nasri decide to stay, he mentioned that he will train the players as best to his abilities and prepare them for matches and improve them.

9. But that doesn't guarantee that they will PLAY. Because he plays the team that in his mind can win the game for him. If the players are not okay with this condition, they are free to leave.

10. Pep said it is possible that he can still play Hart and train him at the same time, but in this business he does not have the luxury of time. He said that this is a big club, not an academy club where you have all the time in the world to improve. He mentioned that what if he had lost the Sunderland game? Or the Bucharest game? Obviously he's gonna get roasted.

I think that's a better representation of Pep's message rather than the quotes in twitter or the OS.

For all the people that hates Pep's decision to drop Hart, I suggest you watch it and see it from Pep's point of view.

Just finished watching.

After witnessing what Pep has done in the game, reading Pep Confidential and witnessing his approach in the very short time he's been with us Joe could do worse than listen to this guy, buckle down and learn from him to improve his game in the areas that are required of him.

If he decides he's either not up to it, demands playing time or can't swallow his pride then he moves on and we thank him for the memories - he'll always have a special place with us.

I just can't believe we have such a special guy managing our club.

Absolutely impecciable and I've not been this excited in quite some time.

Bring it on.

I genuinely believe Karen that if he doesn't leave, he wont play for us again once Bravo arrives and Willy is retained (barring injuries)

And my point about Best and Giggs stands. A player's career is defined by their club titles, especially in a nation that is wank on the big stage.

You say you're City til you die but think the coach is an idiot when he's doing what he believes correct for the club. That's backing a player over a manager we've moved mountains to hire. I really don't think the two statements can be reconciled.
