I can tell you that's not true. Pep may have had a view but Joe was given a chance, thought he was untouchable and didn't take it.

I'd do the training and sit on my arse for a season in his position. An injury suddenly changes the game.

What about Frank Swift as well?

You could make a case for either of those also, but I think if you asked City fans to name their best ever 11, I would bet 9 out of 10 would pick Joe Hart or Bert as keeper. Trautmann is one of the biggest City icons ever & Joe has won the most honors as a keeper.

my point is unless we sign another keeper we are back to worrying should our number 1 get injured. if we keep joe we have 2 top class keepers. just as they do at barca.

Spot on. Assuming Hart is leaving it was quite clear tonight that he is infinitely better on the ball than Caballero, not to mention a much better shot stopper. If Bravo gets injured I would much rather have Hart to step in rather than Caballero. Unfortunately I think Hart is gone and we've just got to hope Bravo doesn't pick up injuries.
