He is a better keeper than hart. In every single way
But most importantly, he is a better keeper in the way we now play, by a country mile.

Everyone wishes the very best for Hart, but dont be so naive mate.
Watch La Liga (and the best football team ) in the world at some point and see why he was and still IS their best keeper. TS being kept is simply a matter of age and potential

Take those blue tinted specs of and soak it up, this is the best way forward with an absolute top 5 keeper in the world coming in

I say it again... our last 4 managers.. Hughes, Bobby, Pellegrini and now Pep all wanted Hart out/didnt fancy him at all and it was made public in each case
They arent all wrong. He is seen by every other fan base as an over rated keeper held in high esteem due to his in your face passion and loud mouth
I rate him much higher than that, but dont dismiss the keeper coming in and the one you will be cheering on in the next few years. Get some respect all round

No issue with this decision but can people please stop with this bullshit about all of our last 4 managers wanting him out, they may have had their doubts about him but there's no way he would've lasted as our number 1 as long as he did if they all wanted him out, it's absurd.

I'm fucking sick of this Hughes,Bobby,Pellegrini bullshit,he's played 260 odd games for us,and we are the richest club in the world, and he hadn't been replaced, and your telling someone not to be naive, hang on a minute Danny

Perhaps it is being made out to be about football reasons to keep the media circus at bay a little.

Joe could be the cause for a lot of problems that have reared their ugly head every so often since the takeover and Pep isn't having it anymore.

As it has been said, not one manager who has come in as ever been fully supportive of Hart and there has to be a reason for this. They have all brought in their own keeper's.

It isn't a coincidence that we have been linked with a new keeper every year for the past 5/6 seasons. In the case of the past four managers, we let them bring in someone as a backup to Hart but that didn't stop the rumors and Pellegrini and Mancini had no problems with dropping Hart if they saw a chance.

I don't like it, never will, no matter what we win in the next few seasons, I will always believe we would be able to win the same with Joe. I don't think he was given any chance to develop the skills that Pep wants. People saying he just hoofs it long, well for many seasons, he didn't exactly have a choice! You have to have other players to pass to, passing from the back isn't all about the goalie, and now that all the defenders are coached properly as to how to make themselves available it would have given Joe the chance to show he does have the skills or can develop them. He's not getting that opportunity, a few weeks in training isn't enough to judge anyone on.
However, we don't have a choice, we as a club have made the pursuit of Pep our prime goal for 6 years and so he must be left to do what he believes is best, he will make mistakes though and this may or may not be one of them, but to have a player who has been with us for 10 years is rare in this age and not only his loyalty but his hard work, commitment and passion for playing for City would have been highly valuable and I'm sorry if some don't like this, but he's English and that helps the soul of our club. Winning is the most important thing right now, but it isn't and never will be the only thing.

Does he want the opportunity ? To be on City's bench, playing League Cup games etc, whilst he learns ? He is happy to do that ?

Or do you mean he plays as No1 whilst he learns & if that means our system doesn't work, we just put up with it ?

Is Bravo a better goalie than Hart? I reckon most would say no or at least the jury is out. How can this then be a step towards our ambition to become world class?

I suspect it is more than who is the best goalkeeper, otherwise Willy would be gone and Joe and Bravo would fight for the number 1 spot.
I think Joe has upset the owners at some point, possibly with Mancini , and then when he lost all focus under Pelli and was dropped.

Hiring Pep has allowed us to attract more top class players than before, Bravo being one. Prior to this we would not have attracted a good enough keeper to replace Joe.

it's not sentiment though, maybe on my behalf but then again i dont pick the players or make the decisions. it is pep if anyone who is picking players on sentiment based on his bumchumminess with bravo tango zero or whatever the fuck he's called
you still got that Saab shirt?

Exactly, that is one of the worse lines I've read on here, someone ITK hahahaha saying that about all these managers wanting him out, cause he's a bad egg......bollocks,that is talking shit, and loads are jumping on it,it is fucking comical

In some ways he's definitely better, and those are the ways which will impact the way we play more than others. He may not command the area as well, and may not be as solid on crosses, but he's infinitely better with his feet, and just as good when it comes to shot stopping. I don't believe, when all attributes are considered, he's substantially better than Hart, however given the way we intend on playing, and the strengths you need in a keeper to be part of that way of playing, Bravo is certainly a far better fit for City.
