I took it the same way he basically said it only takes one bad performance and suddenly you are the young kid who needs replacing with someone with more experience....Got a feeling he dosen't wanna come back.
EDIT rewound sky plus and that is exactly what he said.

He did say "one mistake next week, and I'm the young kid who should be replaced by someone with more experience" but I don't think it was aimed at City.
