Fantastic performance from Joe tonight who has taken some criticism recently, well played lad.

how the hell was that a "fantastic" performance?
Because he prevented the score from being much worse, saved two one on ones keeping us in the game and commanded his area superbly, so it was clearly a fantastic goalkeeping display.

I can't believe some of the shite I read on here sometimes.

Made some good saves tonight, but will probably feel disappointed with the two he conceded. Still wouldn't swap him for any keeper in the country though.

Should have stopped the first, but otherwise he was as good as he's been all season for me. Without him we could have shipped 3 or 4.

If he would of saved the first we would of been grand. We would of being going into the last game at home knowing a win and were into the next stage. For the club this is a shocker I think Mancini would of being expecting to be playing Champions league football after the break. Now this could cost us with the Thursday and Sunday games in leagues.

Another dreadful champions league performance, don't understand why he's so much poorer in the champions league than the premiership
our whole team are, except for maybe the game away at villareal

Those saves were late on when the damage was done. He should have demanded a man on his near post and could have possibly done better with the 2nd goal. Still a top class goalkepper but pretty ridiculous to say it was a fantastic performance.

good saves on the end to stop us being humiliated but not great reactions on both goals...

You can say I'm talking shit, I don't care, but apart from Cavani's goal in Manchester, he has his part in each other goal we've conceded in Champions League

agree

Keepers generally do

Joe played ok tonight, it's a shame that when he doesn't play a blinder the nuggets come out to play

People forget that, in goalkeeping terms, he's still a young kid in many ways. He's still learning, he's 24, he's number 1 for his country, an FA Cup winner, playing Champions League football(maybe not for much longer...) he also kept a clean sheet against the best team in the world last week.

That's not bad for a young lad still very much at the beginning of his career. He's done a lot in a few short years and he's still got a lot to learn. But of course he is only human.

Nuggets? Hey Ho, alright....
Even Stevie Wonder can see Joe cost us at least one, possibly two tonight. Plus his gifts palming out to the follow up in Munich and home to Villareal.
I love Joe and wouldn't swap him for anyone, but only a fool would suggest he has had a good Champions League.
Though that goes for a few, first year and all that.
Win the title and I'm celebrating for a year, this cup will wait...
