"He's still the best. Right now is not his best moment but this happens," Zabaleta told BBC Sport.

"Sometimes Joe Hart, like any player, can make a mistake. Everyone makes mistakes. It is impossible to be at the top level for 60 games a season over many years. Maybe sometimes [Lionel] Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo do it.

"But I've known Joe Hart for five years and have seen him playing at his best form and know that he is the best. The feeling for me and my team-mates is that, looking at him in the goal, I feel safe."

Great to see his team mates fully supporting him.

Zaba says... must be true.

I do agree with him, I think Hart has the minerals to sort himself out. He's not a robot so will suffer bad form, but as the old saying goes, form is temporary, class is permanent, Joe will be fine in time.

That's good. How long do we have to wait? He's not been 'fine' since 2011/12 season , so quite a long 'temporary' loss of form.

Come on, a guy like Zaba was hardly going to say anything else, was he? Hopefully he will be "fine in time" - the thorny question is whether that time is spent on the bench or not.

Hart needs taking out of the firing line for a game. I would invent an injury and send him on holiday for two weeks. No public humiliation of dropping him and the inquest that would follow. Let him play against Everton and for England them send him away to get his head sorted. We have West Ham away which Pantimillion is probably better suited to anyway then bring him back for the Chelsea game.

I was thinking the same. Play Hart against Everton and if he does well then stick with him; if he has another bad game bring Pantilimon in for the away at West Ham.

oh for fucks sake...

Agüero is certain about the goalkeeper's status at the club. "Joe Hart is one of the best goalkeepers in the world, we all know that," he says. "We can all have good and bad days. But he will, without a shadow of a doubt, come out bouncing and prove what a great goalkeeper he is."

"Come out bouncing"? Has he switched from Head and Shoulders to Vosene?

The goalkeeper is the jewel in the crown and getting at him should be almost impossible. It's the biggest sin in football to make him do any work.
Good luck For tomorrow Joe

For all those on here who are not convinced by Pants...

What has he actually done wrong?

I can't ever remember him seriously letting us down........

So he hasn't got Joe's experience...well it's a chicken and egg situation.
