Pants isn't close to Hart in terms of ability. Drop Hart and how many games do you give Pants ? How many mistakes does he make before Hart's back in?

Put them both on the market and who do you think will attract the big clubs and the big fee ?

I think we all know the answer and there's a good reason for that

Do we drop Nasty, Vinny, Zabba ? They've all cost us goals this season.

Some on here need to grow a pair and take a balanced view. Some of the stuff on here is that embarrassing it makes me cringe. Hart out, Pellers out........YCFMIU.... bookmark this and come back to me when we're crowned champions next May............

I think my post is balanced. We don't know how close Pants is to Hart as he hasn't had a real chance. He may come in and progress quicker than Hart has. At present Hart is very average and, in my opinion, has not kept pace with the improvement of the team. As I said I think if he gets in he could make the position his own. If he doesn't and is shaky then Hart comes back with renewed determination and confidence to prove everyone wrong. He should be treated no different than any outfield player. I think the manager may agree tomorrow.

Your opinion mate and I obviously respect your right to it ( you'll have worked out I don't agree , obviously).........It would be interesting to know your thoughts on the questions I asked in my previous post ?
If Pants isn't close to hart ,then it doesn't make him very good i'm afraid.

I have a feeling that if Pants comes in he could really make the position his own. He is better than Hart at crosses. The save he made at Wembley v Chelsea was one I don't think Hart would have made. He has never let us down. He should be given a chance in my opinion. If he isn't now then he never will unless Hart messes up again.

Players should be picked on form and not reputation. At the moment Hart isn't in form and hasn't progressed at the rate the team has. It's a shame as I would like him to succeed but I fell that one way or another this will be his last season with us.

Decent - don't think we'll be champions next May, but good post that nevertheless.

no excuse for that shite if you`re not drunk. Nobody knows how good/bad Pants is because he`s not played enough, Its not knee-jerk with Hart , he`s been average to shit for almost a year. As for Pellegrini, just tell me what has he done to show you he`s an upgrade on Mancini ?

I could take either decision when it comes to Hart. If Pellegrini decides to back Hart, I'll support it. If he decides to give Pantilimon a run, I support it. Both sides of the argument make sense.
My thoughts exactly, I've always backed joe but the mistakes are too often, however I'm far from convinced about Pants...one things for sure the best reaction to Hart being selected again on Saturday (which I think he will) is to sing his name and let him know we are right behind him.

You're far from convinced about 'Pants' yet Hart continues to make catastrophic errors and that is ok.

Just out of interest; what has Costel done to make you not convinced? And what has Hart done recently to convince you are convinced that he is still the convincing first choice?
Hart doesn't need to convince me on anything, he's made mistakes but in my opinion is still our No1, and the 'catastrophic' errors as you put it aren't ok but I don't think dropping him will help. We need to stick with him and he will get his form back.
As for Pants, what I've seen has been ok but not enough for him to replace Hart. I think Pellegrini will stick with him tomorrow and hope he does...dropping Hart isn't the answer.
For what it's worth I'm still confident we will win the league with joe in nets and Pellegrini as manager.

First things first. I was one of Bobs biggest supporters, a quick check of my post history will tell you that.

Secondly, I hold no particular brief for MP other than I'm died in the wool Blue and back any manager unless the point comes when he's unbackable.

Thirdly, Bob and MP obviously have a view on Pants because he predominantly warms the bench.

Fourthly, If Pants plays tomorrow, he'll have my 100 % support! just like anyone of our lads wearing the shirt.

Finally, why don't you get a sense of humour attempt a reasoned debate.

I have yes. :)

Hart would command the higher fee. Of that there is no doubt.

As for outfield players they tend to get "rested". If outfield players' performances regress to the extent that Joe's has then yes, absolutely they get dropped. But the people you mention have been amongst our most consistent players over twelve months.

It's not an easy decision and I am not into knee jerk statements or decisions. It has been coming for some time and I do wonder if he is the player who can perform at the level we are heading to. He isn't the only one I may add.

I also fully respect the opposite opinion and I would really like to be proved wrong on this as I like him and he has potential. I just think like all players from time to time he has arrived somewhere he, and we, don't want him to be at and maybe a period out of the firing line would help in some way.
