Wow, amazing how time fooks your memory.
But a holocaust to my mind means long and drawn out, so certainly a distinction between disaster. The story should be, news outlet tries to demonise another human for using a word in the correct context that has a different connotation to a certain section of the community. (I know how arsey I sound, but i'm fed up to the back teeth with the intentional misunderstanding of a situation to illicit rage.The distinction was drawn that he said "a holocaust" not "the holocaust" for the city game, but it was 20 odd years ago.
It is the same in this case, a player having a holocaust, he is trying to be clever but it doesn't really make sense, he just meant a disaster.
