Think we should let him stay at Feyenoord another season, or try him in Spain maybe....
Let him have another season on loan and see how he does second season?
Guidetti in great goal scoring form lately. Not sure he's that talented but he got outstanding confidence.
Hattrick for the young swede, should make the squad for the euros
He surely isn't talented enough to get a starting place at City (even the bench will be difficult). Don't know why he signed there (bar the money), should have done what about all smart talented Scandinavians do: go to a Dutch club.
He surely doesn't lack confidence, is good for team atmosphere and loved by the fans. Apart from that his technique isn't silky and he isn't fast, but he is strong on the ball and a decent finisher. It's not like he will not be able to play at a bigger club / in a bigger league, but would be amazed if he reaches the top.
Exactly my thoughts about Guidetti. Good all around but no stand out qualities. His confidence in front of goal will give him an edge, but he's not good enough for a top team
get the kid in he has it in bucketsLoveCity said:Some people forget he's 19 even though he looks physically mature. Not 22 like Sturridge. At 19, Sturridge was struggling for games and very lightweight. At 19, Welbeck was out on loan at Preston and nothing outstanding. At 19, Drogba had a terrible goalscoring rate in I think the French 2nd division. Dzeko was flogged for €25,000 at the age of 19 wasn't he?
Point being, Guidetti is not a finished product but for the age of 19 is a super prospect and doing far better than many strikers did who went on to become top class players. This is his first proper season in a respectable league and he has 11 goals in 12 games. He isn't lightning fast but isn't slow, has good movement and a good finish, he is strong for his age and is likely to become even stronger when he reaches his 20s. Playing around our three strikers could only make him a better player also.
