John Guidetti: 20 goals and 6 assists in 23 for Feyenoord

Re: John Guidetti: 17 goals and 5 assists in 15 for Feyenoord

Is this 'dutch league is shit' theory all a myth? After all, holland are one of the best and most technical teams in the world

The Rhino, never heard that one before..

Guidetti will return to City

Striker has no plans to make his loan move to Feyenoord a permanent one

John Guidetti: Striker wants to play in the Premier League for Manchester City after his Feyenoord loan

John Guidetti insists he still has a future at Manchester City after his loan deal at Feyenoord ends in the summer.

The 19-year-old has scored three hat-tricks in four games with the Dutch side including one in the 4-2 win over Ajax recently.

But the player nicknamed "The Rhino" is prepared to return to the Premier League and fight for his place against the likes of Edin Dzeko, David Silva and Sergio Aguero.

"I am not the one who is going to decide my future," said Guidetti. "That is up to the Manchester City board to do.

"If they think I should play at City then that is an easy decision for them to make.

"That is my aim, to play in the Premier League for Manchester City."

Almost 30,000 fans have signed a petition to keep him at Feyenoord but boss Ronald Koeman has ruled out signing the Swede.

"We do not have any possibility to buy him really," he said. "Everything will depend on what City want to do."

the kid is still young, has great potential, dutch league isnt best by a mile but its experience for the boy, scoring will give him confidence for sure, still has to prove himself at top level, but will come in time, be madness to sell him at mo imo, maybe another season on loan, or take him on summer tour/friendlies give him a go and see if hes ready or needs more time, either way bobby will decide if he can cut it at top level and when/if

... but nearly all of Hollands players play outside the Dutch league

I will not be convinced until he proves it in the EPL

Why do our youngsters get loaned out to piss poor leagues like the championship and the Dutch league whereas the Rags youngsters get loaned out to EPL clubs? Wellbeck - Sunderland, Cleverley - Wigan, Macheda - QPR

Because Wellbeck and Cleverley are both now being discussed for the English national team, while our talents has been nowhere near that lately? Ched Evans, Ish Miller etc were good but never anywhere near their talent.

In Macheda's case, he hasn't started a single PL match for QPR. What do you think would help him the best, play 20 matches in Eredivisie or sit on the bench for QPR?

Guidetti did ok for Burnley in Championship but didn't show Premier League standard there. We should be glad we got such a fantastic club as Feyenoord to take him under their wings, instead of some lesser Dutch one or another Scandinavian one.

Welbeck was at Preston when he was Guidetti's age, scoring 2 goals in 8 games.

Cleverley was at Leicester.

Macheda was at relegation threatened Sampdoria and was dropped to the bench more often than not.

All three of them are older than Guidetti, who is 20 in April. Welbeck is 22 in November and Cleverley is 23 in August.

Other main factor apart from his age is he's been put straight into the starting 11 for Feyenoord, anywhere else say for example Wigan he'd prob get a load of subsitiute appearances before he proves his worth in the starting 11. Saying that, judging by his form for Feyenoord he could prob keep Wigan up this season!

The Sky Sports Scout has done a write-up about him.

Has come on leaps and bounds this season, his confidence is sky high and surely Man City have already pencilled him in for their squad next term.

If City don't use him, then one thing is certain - he will have his pick of clubs next season in whichever league he wishes.
