John Guidetti: 20 goals and 6 assists in 23 for Feyenoord

Is there a source for this because not one Feyenoord fan on Twitter (and there are thousands of them) has mentioned John van Zweden but there are a few Guidetti to Swansea comments on there.

Manchester City striker John Guidetti to demand talks over his future as Feyenoord look to extend loan deal

Feyenoord have made a request to sign Manchester City starlet John Guidetti on loan for another season as the Swedish striker demands talks with his parent club over his future.

The 20-year-old has been in stunning form this season, scoring 20 goals in 23 Eredivisie matches for the Dutch side and has become a target for Bayern Munich and a number of Italian clubs.

Feyenoord want to extend the deal next term but City are keen for Guidetti to return to the Etihad Stadium as part of manager Roberto Mancini's first team squad.

City would demand a fee of £1 million to allow Guidetti to leave on loan again next season, but are dragging their heels as they make plans for the summer transfer window.

Three of the club’s four senior strikers - Carlos Tevez, Mario Balotelli and Edin Dzeko - have all been linked with transfers away from the Premier League title challengers.

Guidetti, who spent last season on loan at Burnley, will demand talks with the City hierarchy and has already made it clear to Mancini that he wants regular first-team action.

"I don't know what Man City are thinking but I want to play football,” he said last month. “If I can't play at Manchester City - I'm a young boy - then I'll have to play somewhere else.

"If I am going to be given a chance at City then I have to be on the same level as the other boys."

If Feyenoord qualifies for the CL qualifying rounds Guidetti should be well off being there on loan for another year gaining big match experience. If not we'll see, i don't think Swansea level would do him much justice.

And that's the reason John will never play for us,his ego is bigger than his talent unfortunately.
Probably best all round if,while his stock is high,we made a few quid on him plus a sell on/buy back.

I agree. I don't see anything that marks him as a special talent except his confidence.

Swansea would be beneficial for him. He's be playing against better quality defences and in a footballing team. And say if he gets 20 goals for them next season some may be against rivals of ours and unless Swansea finish above us it will be a good loan move. The Adebayor one this year worked pretty similarly and it also meant they didn't have their first choice striker vs us both times.

yep, putting his nose too high too soon. He's not in position to demand anything. Haven't seen lot of players of his age talking shit like this.

At 19 20 goals in the dutch league is not to be sniffed at. We could leave him at Feyenoord for another year if they qualify for the champs league. if not, a season at Norwich/Swansea/Reading would do him the world of good.
