Not at 19, be paitient and wait until he is around 21. He needs 2 seasons in a top flight league at least!

Could be the new Zlatan this kid!
No he would not be the new Zlatan. He has been productive, but his style is more Dzeko than Zlatan. He feeds off supply not creativity.

That said, I don't know why we need a 4th striker. When we already have 3 and a bunch of attacking players behind them. SIlva Nasri Yaya AJ. We are good with 3. If Dzeko leaves he can become #3. Out fourth striker should be an old head who gets games every once in a bluemoon. :P
i thought these past few games were a clear indication that we needed a 4th striker

Easily good enough to be 4th striker, if he can handle PL defences and the signs are good (he's very tough and physical for a 19 year old) then he could score lots of goals. We'll save ourselves lots of money if we retain him, hopefully Mancini gives him a chance after his regrets about City losing Sturridge. I believe if we buy a new striker in summer it won't be a "fourth choice" striker, it'll be a 1st/2nd/3rd choice striker with Mario or most likely Dzeko giving way and their transfer fee going towards the replacement. Guidetti is up there with Lukaku as a top teenage striker prospect in European football now.

We don't need a 4th striker?? Are you being serious??
Absolutely! We are often best, playing with one striker anyway. So having 3 very good ones is pretty good. Having 4 will be excessive. We have about 4 guys who can play behind one striker. AJ, Silva, Nasri, and Yaya. Add to 3 strikers Aguero, Balo and Dzeko. That strikes me as enough. If we don't have a good enough one, then sell him and get a better one. But we don;t need 4. We just need the ones we have to be very good.

Not really. It was a clear indication we needed to create better scoring chances. Lest we forget. No team has 3 strikers, that have scored as many goals as Aguero, Dzeko, and Balotelli.

Aguero,Balo, Dzeko: 35 goals
Rooney,Berba, Chica, Welbeck: 33
Ade, Defoe, Pav, VDV: 25
Drogba, Torres, Stur, Anelk, Kalou: 16
VP, Cham, Gerv, Walcot, Arsh, Henry: 28
Suare, Kyt, car, Bel, Rodri, 17

In none of these situations (except for Yewnited) does the 4th striker have more than 1 goal. That right there is the problem. You simply don't get enought time as a 4th striker to add much value to the squad. Strikers need playing time. Continous playing time. Most 4th strikers will get little to none in the league and Champs league. Then they will lose timing, and there ability to score consistently.

We do NOT need a 4th striker.
We may need better play from those already getting time on the field
We may need better chance creation for those strikers we already have
We may need better crossers, wingers, defenders with better ball skills, better decision making midfielders or even better strikers to replace those who are poor. But an actual 4th striker is a waste of resources.
We are better off spending on attacking mids who can create more for those we already have, with their speed, vision, trickery passing and crossing.

how can it be a waste of resources we wont have to buy anyone we would need Guidetti to come back from loan and do you expect our strikers to keep this goal tally up for the entire season.Dzeko's form is horrible and don't tell me its because a lack of creation you cant always expect to get one on one with the keeper or get tap ins sometimes you have to create something yourself and for some reason he cant be able to do that a 4th striker would mean that if one or two are off there game or suspended or injured then we would have other options and if i am not mistaken mancini likes to play with two strikers up top.

If you are going to play with 2 strikers a game and in 4 competitions I reckon it might be wise to have a fourth striker. However, whether Guidetti is happy being the 4th striker is another matter altogether. I do agree that eventually we will need someone like Inzaghi or dare I say it Owen - of maybe 2 years ago - who with the wisdom of age and being slightly past their peak is happy to play the squad role. Atm, I think we should hold onto our current 3 strikers + Guidetti and see which of them become truly worldclass - besides Aguero who obviously already is.

I don't reckon Balotelli will hang around for too long - maybe 3 years top - so letting Guidetti go would be a mistake IMO.

Man City striker attracting interest from Bayern Munich
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/transfer-rumours/1545/92/man-city-striker-attracting-interest-bayern-munich" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/ ... ern-munich</a>

Manchester City striker John Guidetti is attracting the attention of German giants Bayern Munich.

The 19-year-old is currently on a season-long loan at Feyenoord where he has scored a stunning 17 goals in 15 league appearances.

According to Dutch paper Der Telegraaf, the Bundesliga side had scouts at the Dutch club's 3-1 win over Vitesse on Sunday in which the City star scored his third hat-trick in four games.

Roberto Mancini's side want to keep the Swedish star and loan him out again next season to allow him to continue his development.

But Bayern, currently second in the league and in the last-16 of the Champions League, are considering testing City's resolve with a bid in the summer.

Bayern Munich confirm interest in Manchester City wonderkid John Guidetti & Montpellier's Olivier Giroud

A spokesman of the German giants revealed his side have been keeping tabs on the young forwards, who have been in sensational form this season

Bayern Munich are interested in acquiring the services of Manchester City's John Guidetti and Montpellier's Oliver Giroud, a representative of the Bundesliga club has revealed.

With Ivica Olic expected to leave the Allianz Arena this summer, the German side have turned their attention towards replacements.

On Monday, youth co-ordinator and scout Bjorn Andersson confirmed the Bundesliga giants' interest in Manchester City-contracted starlet John Guidetti, and Montpellier attacker Olivier Giroud.

"At the moment, we are watching Guidetti and a striker from Montpellier, Giroud," Andersson told Swedish source Aftonbladet.

The 19-year-old Guidetti is currently on loan at Feyenoord, where he has scored 17 goals in 15 Eredivisie appearances this season.

An earlier report from De Telegraaf claimed that the Bavarians sent a delegation to De Kuip on Sunday to see Guidetti in action in Feyenoord's Eredivisie match against Vitesse. The scouts were treated to a match-winning performance from the Sweden Under-21 star, who netted a hat-trick in a 3-1 victory.

Bayern are expected to have some difficulty convincing the prolific Guidetti to move to the Allianz Arena: the player has a contract with City until the summer of 2014, and recently told Goal.com that he dreams of succeeding at the Citizens.

Giroud, meanwhile, remains a viable option. The 25-year-old leads Ligue 1 in scoring with 16 goals in 22 appearances. His contract is set to expire in 2014.

Please..........Man City give him a first team chance.
