If you are going to play with 2 strikers a game and in 4 competitions I reckon it might be wise to have a fourth striker. However, whether Guidetti is happy being the 4th striker is another matter altogether. I do agree that eventually we will need someone like Inzaghi or dare I say it Owen - of maybe 2 years ago - who with the wisdom of age and being slightly past their peak is happy to play the squad role. Atm, I think we should hold onto our current 3 strikers + Guidetti and see which of them become truly worldclass - besides Aguero who obviously already is.

I don't reckon Balotelli will hang around for too long - maybe 3 years top - so letting Guidetti go would be a mistake IMO.

Thats a good idea because i don't think balo would like to stay for more then two seasons and by then guidetti might have enough experience to fill his spot.

Don't know that he would be 4th striker at all. Not sure there is such a thing. There are strikers on form and off.

I agree with the general sentiment, would be a shame to sell Guidetti, without even giving him an honest chance.

If Mancini thinks he's good to play a major role we won't sell, simple as that.

He's not Boateng, he's not German, if we don't want to accept a Bayern offer there's no great pressure.

We do need another striker right now in order to take some of the pressure off the others. With Balo young and Dzeko and Aguero not always firing Tevez should be our option this season. I would then look to pick up another, much older player, in the summer when we get rid of Tevez and with Balo maturing and Aguero and Dzeko getting better we could afford to allwo Guidetti to have another year out with, hopefully, a premiership club for a season before coming back to us to become the 3rd/4th choice striker but playing to be part of the best 2 on form.

I would like to see the same happen with Boyata and Savic as well with both going on loan next season to a premiership club and gaining much needed experience playing regularly. We would then have Kolo at 30+ and Lescott getting towards 30 and then both come back to support Komps who would be at his peak and fighting for a berth alongside him.

That'smy thought anyway.

100% and rekik too right? especially with this new facility being designed and built we need to start focusing on bringing in from within

I'm interesting to see which kids don't go out on loan. You rarely saw this 15 years ago. Few kids will ever say they've only worn a City shirt.
