Hasn't Mancini said he is 6 weeks away from fitness?
Yeah hes about 2 stone away from fitness as well.

Hopefully sent out of loan (With us bringing in a striker)

I think 2 stone is being a tad unfair but maybe the start of March is when I would expect him to have a chance on being a viable squad member.

Its not his fault to be fair if you have seen his dad its genetics! Think Rooney and Rooney Snr.

Nothing fitness work and game time wont sort out but besides reserve games what game time can we afford to give him? Bar FA cup

yeh but i'm pretty sure he said that a couple of weeks ago. I think Guidetti might be ready for first team action by the beginning of March.

maybe as a potential sub.

he played 45 minutes for the EDS a couple of weeks ago, and will most likely play another 70 tomorrow against bolton. they then have 2 more games in february. I'd say he's going to have to play close to 90 minutes in both those games to be in contention for the first team bench because of the length of time he's been out for. I'm sure he's on a tight fitness plan already but match time is also key to coming back from injury

01 February 2013 19:00 H Bolton Wanderers Barclays Under 21 Premier League
11 February 2013 19:00 A Crystal Palace Barclays Under 21 Premier League
22 February 2013 19:00 H Stoke City Barclays Under 21 Premier League

He'll soon lose the added weight if he's on an intensive training program. Rooney and Tevez are also prone to getting fat when inactive but are both quickly sorted.

Hate the daily fail but an interesting article on Guidetti!

Hope he plays allot for the reserves now. He was out for so long going to take a bit of time to get him back! Dont think he will feature for us at all but if he works on the fitness dont see why he wont be with us as first team in pre season.

Playing 90 minutes for the EDS is nothing like playing for the first team but its good that he's getting closer to being fit enough to be part of the first team. 90 minutes played and a goal is good news indeed.

It's strange that some people are acting like they want a statue of him outside the stadium already, when they can't even pronounce his last name

Prone to exaggeration Mark?

I don't want a statue of him (yet)... Like many, I just want to see him get a chance to prove he can do it in the prem.

He's a class act.

Not exaggeration, I just know that the same people that are building him up to be our saviour are the same ones who will slate him if he doesn't make an instant impact in the league. I'd love a young player to succeed at City as much as you would, I just wouldn't like unfair criticism coming his way from fickle supporters.

Also, as far as a "class act" is concerned, I definitely agree with you. He's got that special something... Hopefully it's that 'something' that we need.
