John Guidetti

Bolton Wanderers want to take Manchester City striker John Guidetti on loan next season. The cash-strapped Championship outfit have told boss Dougie Freedman that he will have to get creative in the summer window. The Trotters' board were impressed by the club's strong finish to the last campaign, and are prepared to bankroll the wages of high-profile loan players. Guidetti, 22, was left frustrated by a five-month loan spell at Stoke City last term, having made just six appearances. The Sweden international is still desperate to improve his fitness levels after an infected nerve left him without feeling in his right leg 18 months ago. Guidetti will speak with City boss Manuel Pellegrini in the coming weeks to know exactly where he stands, but the Chilean is a confirmed admirer of the player. The Premier League champions don't want to lose Guidetti and a loan switch to Wanderers would still keep him close at hand - See more at: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.sportinastorm.com/Premier-League/Manchester-City/Bolton-to-break-bank-for-Guidetti-/X1Y47Z1764179#sthash.susMkOjl.dpuf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.sportinastorm.com/Premier-Le ... According to "The Bolton News" the wanderers are not looking to sign Guidetti, as they are seeking more permanent signings.

I still think this lad has a big part to play at the club in the coming years. He's got raw talent and if he can be in and around the likes of Silva and Aguero day in day out he could be a world class player. After his season in Holland he's proved he's got it. I know people say it's only the Dutch league but he can only play where he's given game time. If we don't give the eds lads a chance they'll never prove there worth

Nearly the same amount of time he was given at Stoke City. :-(
Given how useless that move was, I hope greater thought is put into another loan.

Really hope this Bolton loan works for John he needs game time and Bolton have had some success bringing on young players Wiltshire Sturridge Cahill etc and the championship is perfect for him, people forget he nearly lost his leg 2 years ago with a bad illness he needs time and fitness

The Bolton loan theory is a myth. 2 of city's best youth products had their progress stalled when they went there. And a lot has changed at the club since Owen Coyle was there anyway so I think all that is irrelevant. Guidetti should have gone to the Championship in January, did he even start a game of football while at Stoke (at any level)? Would have been better off staying in the EDS. Would be amazed if he has any career left at city unfortunately.
