I really like the guy tbh, he is just being honest.

I think he has earned his chance so if he doesn't get it i can see why he is saying what he has.

It will be a shame if we sell him, but it's looking like his playing chances here are slim atm.

This guy said he wouldn't sit on the City bench? We're the EPL title winners and a 20 year old kid won't sit on the bench and fight for a place in the team. It's one thing taking that from Tevez and dzeko but FFS! Somebody at City needs to decide on the future of some of these players and act, why Adebayour wasn't for sale whilst on loan at Spurs when mancini had no intention of using him again I'll never know.

Guidetti's right.

Surely it would be better for both Guidetti and City for him to go out on loan, improve, then come back as a striker good enough to play a lot more for City?

Win-win situation.

He'll have 1 year left on his contract then and he still won't be prepared to sit on the bench and fight for his place. Who in world football commands a starting spot in a championship winning side, especially as a striker? I'd sell him now and have a 25% sell on clause or have a first offer on him built into the deal.

I wouldn't say he's demanding to start. He's basically just said he'd rather go out on loan and play every week than sit on the bench and get very little gametime. He knows City have four top strikers. Unless City sell one (which is looking unlikely) that he will get next to no game time. He's obviously not going to want that, is he? As a 20 year old, that's good. A lot of players would be happy to sit there and take the money, but he wants to go and play. He wants to improve which is exactly what you want from a 20 year old kid.

I think he'll go out on loan and impress. I would be stunned if the club let him go permanently. In a year or 2, he'll be good enough. Tevez will leave at the end of his contract and you don't know how happy Dzeko will be next summer as this season will be much like the second half of last season.

Put him on loan to Sunderland or someone this season, watch him bang them in, then re-evaluate the situation next summer.

Why would one of Europe's most promising young strikers want to be #5 in the pecking order? It's the opposite of arrogant, he's willing to join a lesser club just to play regularly, he'd go back to Feyenoord tomorrow if the club allowed it - he just wants to play football and gives the impression that he loves it.

Would shed no tears if we sold Dzeko, used that money to buy De Rossi, and put Guidetti on the bench with Mario, there would be a much bigger number of games for him as #4 striker than as #5 striker. 3 high profile strikers + 1 hungry young striker is a better balance than 4 high profile strikers anyway.

Yes I'd be happy with that too!

If I'm being honest, I think a few people have built up this notion of Guidetti being arrogant and expecting a place in the team, they're happy for City to sell because the image they have of Guidetti in 3 years is the same as that of Sturridge right now, just a hunch anyway.
I, personally think that he just wants to play football, because he knows he has to at his age, nothing arrogant about that, just sensible.

I rate Guidetti 10 times more than Scapuzzi. And Scapuzzi is 1 year older than Guidetti!
