This viral infection looks to have really set him back judging by the training footage on the club website last week. His fitness is miles off at the moment and maybe we are keeping close tabs on his recovery to make sure he comes back 100%.

really wouldn't be wise letting him go on loan, at city he can be monitored by an excellent back room team and when he is ready to get back to fitness he can play in an u21 game each week which will be helpful to him

Looks like he might be needed now balotelli is out 4 a month. He as a bit of a cocky attitude but there is nothing wrong with that when you are scoring goals

Platt denies Balo will be out for a month. Minor eye surgery -- maybe Lasik which is just a matter of days he will be down.

He has given alot of cocky intervjues in the swedish media and is considered way too cocky for his talent by half the population and a brilliant saint Guidetti by the other half. Personally I just like it. If a player is going to be the best in the world he has to believe he is better than everyone else himself.

Just seen on the muen website that according to ssn he has signed a new long term contract with us.

Been on ssn and it's correct will be with us until January and the go back out on loan to either a German, Italian or Spanish side. Will not be returning to Holland.

Great news

Sky Sports understands Manchester City have agreed a new long-term deal with striking starlet John Guidetti.

The Swedish international had a sensational campaign on loan in Holland last season, scoring 20 goals in 23 appearances for Feyenoord.
Despite having two years left on his current deal, City have now moved to agree a long-term extension with Guidetti.

The player is currently working his way back to full fitness after contracting an illness towards the end of last season which ruled him out of pre-season.

That prevented any possible loan move, with a host of clubs looking to land his coveted signature.

Now Guidetti will remain with City until January - shunning any interest from the Championship.

Indeed Sky Sports understands that despite Feyenoord's desperation to re-sign him, should Guidetti leave on loan it will be to either another Premier League side or to the top flight in Spain, Italy or Germany.

I think Spain or Germany would be a good move. I think German football would suit him him more, but Spanish football would maybe make him a more rounded player.

So, if we want to increase his value to sell him on - Germany
Improve him as a player with a view to integrating him - Spain

There's plenty of clubs needing a striker, so it shouldn't be a problem getting him playing at a decent level.

A premier side only for me,lets see if the talent really does match the hype.

This. I think sending him abroad again would be foolish.

Even to the bundesliga, seria A or la liga? I'd like him to go to a prem club now too but I wouldn't go as far to call it foolish if we send him to one of the other top leagues, which is what we're trying to do apparently

Unless he is going to a team that is part of the "top 6" no point at all loaning him anywhere in this country.

Loan him out to a team who will play him and develop him further.

I just don't see much of a point. He's proven that he's a good goal scorer and has a lot of potential, I don't need to see him playing against Osasuna or Pescara every week to show me that. Sending him abroad means we get no idea of how he would handle playing in our league which is really the most important thing at this point.

As above,we need to know if he can be a handful in our league so a prem club please.

I believe Leslie was showing an interest...... That would be a very good move.

Loaning him out to Liverpool wouldn't be a bad shout, they need some reinforcements up front and him playing alongside Suarez would be of huge benefit. Win win for both clubs the way I see it.

That's if Liverpool are interested of course!
