I get your point about Milner wanting to play more often.
But why would he sign for Sunderland if that's the case? Liverpool would take him on loan, as would Spurs, certainly Newcastle United, maybe even Everton. So why would he choose to go to get games at Sunderland?
And, more importantly, why would City let him go out on loan? What's in it for us?
We're already a midfielder short.
