John Guidetti's latest transfer 'request' - Galatasaray

Has he signed a deal or just in talks?

I'd personally like to see him loaned to Swansea until Xmas. I'd keep him for the run in. Absolutely no doubt about that.

he'll hardly be playing then. the poor lad is still recovering and i dont think he will be in playing shape anytime soon

I think management has convinced Guidetti that he'll be the next city striker after Carlos' contract ends. loans until then I would assume

As he won't be back until October or so he probably won't go on loan until January which means we may see him in the Carling Cup and even on the bench for a couple of league games if any of our four strikers are absent. With FFP worrying the club so much if Guidetti performs well I could see us cashing in on Dzeko and having the ready made replacement at no cost... that would be very un-City like but sensible. :)

Reports in Sweden tonight that Guidetti is to have a medical at Siena tomorrow. Don't know if its a loan or not.

Fingers crossed it is only a loan and he has signed his new deal.

Mancini or Platt blocks the move?

City have blocked John Guidetti's proposed move to Siena and told him he is wanted and needed at the club right now. Sky Italia.

Hmmm. Either we're going with 5 strikers for next season, or one of 'main' four is being sold, probably Dzeko, in order to free up funds/wages for a huge bid?
Or City want him to recover fully under their watch.

Now being a pessimist it could be aguero's injury is more long term and it's to late to bring in a replacement .
Tin hat well and truly on.

He's very much needed by us.

He can start capital 1 matches for starters.......

Remember, we will be playing 55+ matches this season with luck.

Maybe nobody wants to shell out on an injured player!

-- Fri Aug 31, 2012 10:22 am --

I'm surprised that he hasnt gone out on loan, can't see him getting more than 5-6 games this year..

I think his injury is a bit more serious than is being made out,

This viral infection looks to have really set him back judging by the training footage on the club website last week. His fitness is miles off at the moment and maybe we are keeping close tabs on his recovery to make sure he comes back 100%.
