It’s probably been mentioned so sorry if I’m repeating things but he was actually born in Salford. Not generally acknowledged as I think he left here as a youngster.
Good commentator, sadly missed. Seemed more neutral than present day ones.

There is an interview he did with Clough that is brilliant.

Clough saying his priority is the league over everything else and having a right dig at the TV companies presentation, good job he is not around today.
