Really gutted he’s gone, I grew up with him on MOTD and I missed his voice when he retired.

Being such a valuable interest to Sky they put him in cryogenic storage after every match then revive him a couple of hours before kick off to prepare the script for the next one.

Never got the love in and never got he is a "national treasure" but he loved his football.
I agree but, believe it, he was quite a step up from Ken Wolstenholme.
My personal favourite commentator was always James Alexander Gordon. Got straight to the point.
