Really happy for him, he copped a lot of shit when he had that bad patch and people wanted him on the scrap heap.

Form can have a funny upturn when there’s a contract to play for, hopefully he’ll continue too do well and improve further. Congrats John keep it up.

He deserves it.
Let’s not go to far, he’s in a good bargaining position, market rate etc.. I really dislike the word deserves when discussing the modern day footballer especially if they haven’t been anything but mainly excellent during their contract.
It makes financial sense to offer him a new improved contract(we can’t be sure of the figure) and we hope he continues where he left off last year. That’s about it really. I’m glad he is staying with us.
