i searched the title and suprise there's no single thread about him. he's a quality young english CB. hope we are in for him. he can be Demichelis understudy. with Hart, Delph, Sterling and Stones in the team, we have english backbones for many years to come.

Kompany + Mangala in starting team, with Denayer + Stones (both U21) as a backup.

TOP STORY: Chelsea set to up Stones bid
Chelsea are ready to step up their efforts to sign Everton defender John Stones and make a second bid of £26 million, sources have told ESPN FC.

Chelsea have already seen a £20m bid for the England international rejected by Everton, with manager Roberto Martinez voicing his anger at how the Blues made their pursuit of the player public.

However, with Manchester City and Manchester United also monitoring the situation, sources told ESPN FC that he is keen to make another move to persuade the defender to move.

We have plenty of cover and behind our 1st team is cam humphreys and tosin who I personally think will. Be our captain in 6/7 years and maybe England's as well.

People will be talking about Denayer as a £30 million pound CB before long. He looks better than Stones already. Hope he gets plenty of minutes this year before cementing his place as first choice in the near future.

Apparently we were interested in him, until Everton set this big price on his head; and we weren't prepared to see it through considering we've got a fair bit of cover at the moment in defence. Also I'm not too sure on him, he shows signs of being a cracking player but you can tell he's been a right back for a lot of his younger career as he looks fairly fragile. I'd suggest he needs to bulk up to become a top draw centre half.
