I agree with your thoughts. I think everybody needs to chill. Pep may want to buy big name players or he may not but I think we all agree he knows what he's doing and Txiki will do all that he can to give him his wishlist. I'd be surprised if one or two youngsters aren't promoted and they may not be the names usually mentioned on this forum. We've got to trust the gaffer: that's why we hired him!

Youngsters aside, I would expect that Pep's list was clear in December last year never mind this month - so I don't think there's going to be an entire summer of speculation. I still would expect our key business to be done before the euros begin in earnest.

I doubt that. I reckon he is the kind of obsessive freak that needs every infovand data to determine his needs. Probably Sat down last week to do a final analysis of what he needed.

I think he's well on with what he thinks he needs,I'm sure someone posted a few month back that Pep had asked for DVDs of some of the youth players.

Sure. But I don't think he had all his targets figured out by December. Think some were, I.e Gundogan, Stones and Laporte. Others may take a deeper analysis.

Yeah that's a fair shout. Plus I suspect that the falling off a cliff of a some of our players form in the last half of this season will have at least warranted a deeper analysis and maybe a rethink on how many players he needed.

Wasn't there a rumour this time last year, when Chelsea were all out for Stones, that we'd agreed a deal with Everton to take him this Summer?

Maybe he was part of Pep's plans along with KDB and Sterling even back then?
