Bailly is still extremely raw and prone to making errors due to his limited top-flight experience. He lacks discipline at times, which has seen him receive 11 cautions in all competitions this season, and his decision-making is not always as consistent as his manager would like.

He’ll certainly need to improve his passing out from the back, too, with Bailly generally looking to play a simple ball to his centre-back partner.

The learning curve is steep, but Bailly has the raw ingredients to improve with the right guidance.

Bailly sees red against Celta

That's just his weaknesses...

so he's Mangala with a bit more hair.

What is? As much as City fans love Vinny, you'd need to have optimism levels bordering on delusion if you think he is in any way reliable. Otamendi and Mangala have both been huge disappointments. Neither of them are good enough.
This...

How can you possibly say that. I bet you also wrote of Boateng didn't you.

Would you say Ota and Mangala are not good enough?

I'm not sold on Otamendi as an automatic starter but he's done a job. Big believer in Mangala, every time he's got a run of games he's been class and has all the attributes to be a colossus of a defender, he's made mistakes but never hides which I love to see, needs a manager to show confidence in him. Both have been far superior to Boateng in his time here making your previous post a little nonsensical if I'm being honest.

I absolutely agree on your opinion of Mangala. I also believe Ota is very good, you must not forget the performance of the whole team in the season just gone. Both in my opinion should be given more time.

Mangala looks like a beast when he's up against a traditional big bruising centre forward. Put a tricky little player against him and he gets turned all ends up. He also looks like a frightened rabbit whenever the ball is at his feet. He has a tendency to lose concentration too and most of the time it ends up with him losing or giving away possession.

Otamendi looks great when he's sliding in, but the only reason he slides in is because he gets caught out of position so many times. He's also incapable of staying on his feet, he dives into every single tackle and always ends up on his arse. I realise it looks spectacular when he wins the tackle, but when he doesn't he either gives away a pen or a dangerous free kick or is left sat on the floor looking like a stupid **** whilst the attacker disappears towards our goal for a one on one with Joe. I'd rather keep Mangala than him.

Did I write off Boateng? As a City player you're damn right I did. He didn't like the country, he didn't like the city, he didn't like the culture and he didn't like the club. He wanted away as soon as he signed and was an utter fucking shithouse whilst he was here. Pulled out of more tackles than Russell Brand has pulled out of women. He was an abject failure in a City shirt and it was because he wanted to leave from almost the moment he arrived. Anyone who thinks Boateng could have come good at City at that time is a fucking imbecile.

A nice in depth opinion. And what is your opinion on Stones?

I haven't watched too much of him and when I have he's been taking too many risks or making mistakes. If Pep wants him he obviously rates him so I'd be more than happy with him signing.
