I've seen him in games, nowhere near worth £45 million, someone say we pay for potential, We got Denayer and Mangala who could become world class given time.

just slightly off topic, were willing to pay well over the odds for Stones yet i just seen this.

Aubameyang's agent is asking for around €10m in transfer fees if the move goes ahead, however City are currently refusing to pay such fees.

Heads baffled with the City hierarchy if this is true.

Why is that ? You think City should just pay whatever these greedy fuckers ask ?
 
There's no doubt Stones has potential and can probably play in CDM as well but he is prone to mistakes. That said, we need to increase our HG quota and that always adds a premium to any transfer. Denayer will qualify as HG but Pep will need to have a good look to see what he can do with him. The problem we have is that the HG players we've been linked will be very difficult to get without paying silly money, e.g. Rose, Bellerin. Others like Wilshire, Chamberlain may not be so difficult and would allow us to move on a player like Delph.
