John Stones

Perhaps I'm not being clear enough.
There is no lack of funds at all. Every player we wish to buy, we can afford to buy, without sales.

I'm a bit confused by this. Every player? Messi for example?

I'm trying not to be facetious here but I've heard you say a couple of times that money is no object to Everton now. Can you elaborate? I was under the impression that your owner/investor's net worth is around 2 billion usd. Hardly chump change but surely not significant enough to make money no object.

I seem to recall a whole heap of giddiness when Al Fahim took over at Portsmouth. Lots of talk of money being no object and excitement over which players they would buy. From memory, that didn't turn out too well.

I suspect that once you've invested in the infrastructure, (which is undoubtedly needed) there won't be huge amounts of spending power left available.

Everton do not need to "sell to buy" anymore in the sense that they lack funds. There is no lack of funds at all. Every player we wish to buy, we can afford to buy, without sales. The issue lies in FFP. I can understand where the confusion was coming from with regards to my posts.

No.

City said "want to join?"

Stones said "yes please".

That is literally it.

Cheers for the kind words.

Actually, most people (like yourself) are pessimistic at our chances of reaching the top four.

The new board members have ruthless intent. Everton reaching fourth, or higher, in the next three years, is much more likely than you think. It'll become clearer after this transfer window.

Cheers for the kind words.

I don't believe I've been wrong with anything I've said and I've been saying stuff for a couple of years here now. I'm not denying Stones wants to go.

How do you feel about FFP being the 'only issue' now for Everton in terms of what they'd like to achieve in the transfer market given the club voted for it?

Pain in the arse every time we deal with Everton or Liverpool for that matter. The victim status even runs to transfers. They have managed to get sterling hated by the whole country, they have just got over lescott and stones will get so much abuse when he makes a mistake for us! Can't stand them!

Article says talks between City and Everton have taken place for Stones and he's keen to play under Pep. Looks like a matter of time before he joins. Everton won't keep him for 2nd year against his will

Didn't Everton vote for FFP and don't their fans continuously harp on about sugar daddies being bad bad for football. Just want those points clarifying...
