Do you think the bids from Chelsea put Stones under pressure last season? He looked like he was trying to show everyone what a good player he was at times by dribbling with it and dwelling on the ball a lot. If we sign him, I hope he doesn't feel the pressure from a big fee

I wouldn't have many concerns if we signed him and he played alongside Kompany

Savic, Nastacic and Boateng are all pretty good players, not sure why it didn't work out for them at City. But in terms of comfort on the ball Stones leaves them and Pepe, Ramos, Mascerano etc for dead.

He's seems good level headed simple Yorkshire lad who loves playing but you make a good point about showing off I think with the right guidance on and off the pitch he will be a star

Stones signing excites me more than an other this summer simply because of pep
Pep will make him a world class player
It's a shame about the others that it didn't work out for them whilst with us
 
People keep going on about mistakes he makes. He's young and learning but given more maturity he has the potential to be a world beater.
Ashley Williams is an honest grafter but nothing more. Not fit to lace Stones' boots imo.
Probably been said already but the price of an Englishmen adds at least 10 million to the price.
Worth 50 million? Probably not but if he develops into the player he could be and stays with us for 10 years, 50 million could turn out to be a bargain.

We've currently got 18 non-HG players when we're only allowed 17. We need to sell non-HG players, not buy more.

What the bloody shit are you shouting about? I was responding to another person's point. Fact is, if we buy a non-HG player we'll need to sell two more.
