This was Billy's post I responded to. If you feel that this is what he is saying, I have no idea how you reach that conclusion
Appologies mate, I thought you were commenting on one of Billy's previous posts, rather than the one you were actually on about.

For the record, I too would prefer we. invested in an, up & at 'em, Andy Morrison style CB, rather than a ball playing centre half like Stones or Paul Futcher. Never gonna happen under Guadiola though is it, but that said, (and I'm not claiming to know who it is) there must be a more competent (defensively) ball płaying centre half out there, for the money being quoted

Cheers. I am just left with the impression on here at times that many seem to think peps strategy for defending negates the need to defend dirty. I have no doubts in my mind that we still need defenders of that type.
 
Look at Leicester, no nonsense defenders, old school, organised & rock solid, I think we should learn how to defend properly first before we start looking for 'ball playing' centre halfs like Stones. I'd leave him at Everton & see em get £40m next summer.
