Some reporting that Jagielka and Stones will miss the pre season game v Barnsley.
Saying Jagielka is his hamstring but Everton won't specify what the injury to Stones is.

Sorry..........won't specify either.

I think Stones is suffering from 'Soldtocityitis'

Couldn't have posted better. It was never going to be easy with the blue dippers. Expecting this to turn into a media mud slinging exercise from them very soon.

I don't know how Everton are looking at more money then they was wanting last year. Stones has had a very poor season and yet they think his value increased.

Not sure they asking any more mate. They turned down a 40mil bid last summer from Chelsea, so they always had a 45-50mil valuation of the player. With the new TV money coming in, it looks like everyone is having to pay more this year...the money being thrown around is just crazy but this is now the market for top players in the prem and deals that might look like "overpaying" in the past, now look like they becoming the norm.

Chelsea have already seen a £20m bid for the England international rejected by Everton, with manager Roberto Martinez voicing his anger at how the Blues made their pursuit of the player public.

I agree, but unfortunately I don't agree that Stones is a top player, he's far from it right now. He lost his place at Everton last season, and rightly so. He also couldn't make the England starting eleven during the Euros, and in my opinion he was up against the two poorest centre backs England have played in a major tournament for many years. I would expect a 45-50 million player to be a regular at both club and country. 30 million for him would be about right in todays crazy market.

Hi mate, 20mil, 25mil and 30mil were all rejected...Looks like Chelsea were willing to go to 40mil but Everton said not for sale! (links below are last summer transfer window)

We should turn our attentions to an alternative as English players are ludicrously overvalued.
