They swapped majority shareholders, Kenwright and the American, for one single majority shareholder. Until they have a single shareholder or consortium then there will be no major investment, otherwise it's just putting money into the small shareholders pockets. Deluded Everton fans will be celebrating buying Williams, they'll see it as as getting rid of a dodgy want away defender and getting a proven prem international who scores goals and 40 mill in the bank, not they've yet again sold their prized asset and replaced with aging wank.
