I'm supremely confident this will happen; if stones has any common sense he'll be desperate to play under Pep and the rumours of Williams going to Everton only make this more likely

Feel sorry for denayer though; he doesn't seem like he's going to have an opportunity

Think if Everton are playing hard, we should walk away there are other good young defenders e.g. Kone, meikle,Christiansen (if he hasn't left chealsea on loan again). Feel we have 2 ready made starts in denayer and tosin.

So if we sign Stones, we believe we'll find someone to take Mangala. Leaving us with Kompany, Stones, Otamendi, ??? Maybe Denayer does stay. Any confirmation about current players having moved to centre back?

I think Pep must have his doubts over Vinnie being available all season, hence why he is looking at bolstering the team with experience . Tosin has played well in the friendliues, but Pep may feel he needs someone with more experience. Can see Tosin getting cup games tbough.

Stones is hardly the most exerienced of players. Indeed he looked a bit rattled under the spotlight last season. I think Pep is interested in him because if his ability to play football. He could develop into a Pique, but Everton at this moment would probably benefit more from a defender who can control the penalty box like Williams.

He has more experience than Denayer and Tosin was my point

Meikle is very experienced dominated Turkish leauge last season I feel he could be an option...

Stones has to leave Everton. He is under so much scrutiny there because he likes to stay composed on the ball and play his way out of trouble. The problem is, he can pass the ball to a team mate but they'll no doubt lump it forward in hit and hope style and as Pep's already said, it then comes back even quicker and you're out of position.

He wants defenders who are comfortable on the ball and therefore control the game. Those who believe Pep is purely attack minded are wrong. The reason he wants ball playing defenders is so they can ensure the side is less likely to concede by playing aimless balls forward which can leave the team out of position. With Laporte making the decision to extend his contract, we'll do all we can to get Stones - he's very much a Pique style defender and that's exactly what Pep will want.
