You raise an interesting point hilts; if pep is going to play 3 at the back then for me we need 5 centre backs; unless ferna or sagna are comfortable deputising there if Kompany gets himself injured again

The other factor we need to bear in mind is how long will Kompany be at the club for? If he has another injury prone season pep may want to let him go; and if we've sold denayer we'd be down to 3 centre backs unless tosin would be ready

You can throw clichy at it as well unless the pre season was a one off game, we have too big a squad by some distance
