YOU KNOW NOTHING JOHN STONES

£50 mill is a lot of money but at the same time we are seeing a window in which Troy deaney is above £30 mill. The simple fact is we are buying young English potential and in reality Utd paid £30 million for Rio back in 2002 so 45-50 now I'm not to fussed about because my opinion is John Stones is perfect for Pep and Manchester city and will become one of the very best in world football.
Fair point about Rio there matey. It'll never get mentioned in the press though. £30m with 14 years of inflation...£50m for and English lad of 23 don't seem to bad to me.

The price tag making him the most expensive defender + English player is some thing city clearly don't seem comfortable with and would put pressure on stones right way. English sports media is among the worst... And they will right on his case from the time he signs

Saying that Pep wants and even mourninho wanted him all of the last year

True but pressure will be high anytime you play for a big club. There will be pressure on the team straight away anyway so there will be no escaping

We'll be ok without him. If Everton manage to keep him, then fair play to them as they've turned down two successive £40m bids for the guy. Not so sure Stones will be happy, but that's not Everton's concern - he'll just have to get on with it.

If he does get on with it. Is Everton's concern if his performance dips again, like last time.

As they've then turned down £40m for someone who isn't performing for them.

Doesn't always happen that they perform well. So they do have some risk

The Crankies could have won the league with what Pellers inherited... Pep is a planner thankfully and we no longer have to resort to the chicken bones any more to determine tactics...

bit unfair that, i thought Pellers had a vision as to how football should be played and for the most part he stuck to that view regardless of the opposition, city as a club knew that when we employed him. i for one enjoyed his stint here immensely. and now i'm enjoying Pep casting his spell. Mancini was different again and i loved his time too. only my opinion and sorry to reply here i just hate seeing the gentleman that was Pellers derided for sticking to his guns.
