John Stones

I have been critical of us buying him at the price we have, but I watched "Pep" last night on sky, and that man worked wonders with a god awful Pique, so fingers crossed he can do the same with Stones. He has my full support and fair play to the lad for eagerly wanting to play for us.

Lets hope he improves massively with us and Pep, cause his defending for a CB is Mangala levels. Lol this also makes Pogba look like bargain

Mangala can defend, if he was good on the ball he'd be staying at city. Let's hope stones can learn off pep because he's got some work to do on his defending. His ball playing skills are undeniable.

Absolutely loved the interview on the website. To see a young player so excited about moving to our club was so refreshing. Think he is the right type of signing. Knows the premier league and him and Kompany together would be ideal.

Great signing, has had rocky moments but he has already shown signs of being a fantastic defender. Pep will sort him out like he did Kimmich!

I doff my cap to you Oakie. You're the only one to comeback and say well done. The others that made me out as a bullshitter funnily enough haven't come back!
Although few pages back one chap did mention a kudos to me, :)
I came back Rossie as its fair do`s to you and certainly its nice to find that we have someone else who gets odd snippets and from the most unlikely source, but one that confirms you are no bull shitter mate.
As Mr Stones as just said ... BOOM !! Well done mate.

Welcome John, a young talent that can hopefully thrive under Pep. Looking at City against Arsenal we need someone with composure on the ball so he instantly should improve us in that area. Fee is just what you pay these days and he could be at City for ten plus seasons so we will ideally look back, as with Sterling I hope and say money well spent.

Haha, was only joking. Just a reference to one of my "trivial things that drive you mad" from Off Topic being the Americanisation/zation of the English language.

I take your pedantry and raise you....

There’s a widespread belief that these spellings belong only to American English, and that British English should use the ‘-ise’ forms instead, i.e. realise, finalise, and organise.

In fact, the ‘-ize’ forms have been in use in English spelling since the 15th century: they didn’t originate in American use, even though they are now standard in US English. The first example for the verb organize in the Oxford English Dictionary is from around 1425, from an English translation of a treatise on surgery written by the French physician Guy de Chauliac.

-ize is absolutely fine in UK English.
