No thanks. I've never seen a player for us cop more unwarranted stick by our supporters than John Stones - it's unfathomable.
He's still only 25, an English international, and a starter in two title winning squads. If someone wants him, then they can cough up around about the same figure the Rags did for old Slab head. Otherwise, go fish.

Should have been more aggressive and attacked the ball from the corner before Palace started playing head tennis in our six yard box. Not one but two decent centre halves required in the summer to replace Otamendi and Stones.

If you watch it back he's actually in a good position but jumps too early and gets can't under the ball. He's just not good enough when needed to defend.

Look at harwood bellis, gives a goal away every game and people ignore it
Stones is English and better than ottamendi so getting rid does us no favours

Sorry but I don’t quite get the ‘good option as 4th choice’. I don’t want to get on Stones back but he’s either good enough or he’s not. Personally I don’t think he’s consistent enough. Bring someone in during the summer to partner Laporte, keep Fern on for a year and use Garcia as 4th choice. I really think we can let Stones go on the basis Rodri can be deployed in an emergency.
