Well Hiddink didn't stay so I can't imagine he's in much of a position to say that he thinks Terry will.

He appeared to have a bond with the team. It wouldn't surprise me if he had a friendship with players like Frank Lampard and JT and he remained in touch.

I wish we kept him.
Wouldn't surprise me if he ends up back at Stamford Bridge when the World Cup is over. But that prospect may be used against the current manager.

Do you expect a speedy resolution to Terry's situation? I think the player himself will find it very hard to live with the stress, and will have to make a decisive move when he returns from the States.

Unfortunately I think he is being set-up by his club, and the media as a player whose sole focus. That's being bought by fans of City and Chelsea. He's 29, and is a driven sportsmen. He wants everyone at CFC to be as committed to winning as he is, and this is a crucial decision for him. He leaves now, or stays at CFC until his career is effectively over.

Its a shame but i think Terry will stay. Ancelotti has said "TRUST ME Terry is staying" That is a bold statement to make and he surely wouldn't risk saying this if it wasn't true especially in his early reign as Chelsea boss. How stupid would he look if he decided to leave.
he wouldnt he would just say he did everything but there was nothing he could do to stop him going

JT riding a police bike/segway/mall thingie on SSN, surely that's a secret message he's joining us! Yes?? (clutching at straws...) ;)

He seems very sure on the matter. Quite smug about it really.

Agree with Dyed. That's one of the first things about Terry that made my whistle, five years? FIVE? Chelsea are NOT going to offer him that. Is there anyone who thinks they'll do anything more than top-up his current deal without extending it? Additionally, for all we know, City have been working since January to put image right deals in place that simply require a signature or two - prior preparation prevents piss-poor performance. I doubt City are going to wait until Terry signs to begin working.

Yeah Ancelotti basically put his trust with the Chelsea fans on the line with that statement.

He must have been told from JT himself or by Abramovich that he's not going, whatever happens.

So they will ALL look like pillocks if he does move then. Doesn't mean he's staying.

Good points Brucie. We are as profesional as I can ever remember since ADUG took us over. We will be well prepared IF ( and that's the crux for me ) we get a chance to offically talk to JT.

Chelsea are clearly anxious about our ambition as they've tied up other key players to long term deals whilst in the US. As we've already seen they'll try everything they can to avoid letting JT talk to us. If he really is interested in us he's going to need to force the issue himself. I can't see Chelsea ever relenting to our advances, even at 35-40m, as this whole saga is worth much more than a player.
It's a matter of pride. The hunter has become the hunted.
