Completely to the contrary mr marketing, Mr Cook obviously feels making a statement is important, especially as 'things are going on'.
The fact the statement is simply to ask the fans to be patient just further proves my point.

I'd bet that Mike Whalley (like MEN has been doing for a while)...are using info that is already reported before putting together an article like that.

You're arguing a completely different thing. Nowhere have I said good fan and press relations are unimportant. That would just be stupid.

Cook is saying to the fans we aren't going to disclose things that don't need to be disclosed. But that negotiations often take time so we need to be patient. Evidently, Terry doesn't need to say anything to the public right now about his position if he is actually interested. Unless of course that all these rumours are bullshit and he has absolutely no intention of leaving. THEN it would be beneficial for him to come out and say so to appease the Chelsea fans. But if he came out and said "im interested in hearing what City have to say", then he loses the support of Chelsea fans, regardless of whether the deal happens or not - but I suppose that is the smart thing to do from a "media and PR" perspective right?

Or laoded and does it as a living gambling. It isnt really a high risk bet for a proffesional gambler. He stands to lose 1500 if he keaves but if he stays he banks 6000

If you read the post I was quoting instead of trying to jump in like a dick with your "you dont understand the media" bollocks, you would know the nature of the statement that was being discussed.
