I am becoming completely embarrassed over this Terry affair. We are becoming a joke and a laughing stock by continuing with this. I hope the club totally denies these pathetic newspaper reports about offering 300k per week for Terry.....we all want success but, for God's sake, let's keep a bit of dignity in the process. The Barry and Santa Cruz deals were carried out in a proper manner and I hate to see us give these crappy papers any more ammunition to destroy what reputation we have left. Garry Cook had better be very careful with his dealings over the next few weeks.

why are you embarrassed by the "Terry affair" ..... we've put a bid in for a top class player it got kicked back and the press think we are going increase the bid. All in the space of a day... it's not as if we've been chasing him for weeks now.

you quote the Barry and RSC deals .... I'll give you the Barry deal as that was very quick but we've been after RSC for almost a year now.

and the second we got new owners who want to make us one of the top clubs we lost reputation we have left (whatever that was... typical city/lovable losers) when we signed Robbie, to the fans of other club and the press at the time. But we have become so much more than that to the club's who have player we want.

The press will come around as we progess up the table and start winning thing.

On that CFC forum one guy questions why Terry would want to move to City and also says he believes that MH is a temporary manager at City.

Well maybe this is the reason he's keen to come. I think he's sick of the ridiculous turnaround in managers at the Bridge. Ranieri was doing well but he got axed. Mourinho won them back to back Premiership titles and was sacked the next year. Avram Grant ran them very close in the title race and got them to the CL final and got sacked. Scolari stayed for less than a season. Now how long will Ancelotti be there?

Hughes has been given time to get City in order. I personally think he's doing a great job, and not just on the pitch. Everton and Arsenal season upon season punch above their financial weight because they have settled managers and I hate to admit it but Baconface has brought the rags a smattering of success here or there. :(

I have a great feeling about where we're going and I don't think Chelski have that. They don't even know who'll be manager come Xmas!!

Having said all that I think the media reports about money offered are likely to be way off because they always are.

you forgot hiddink ;-)

either way theres no chance terry would leave the blue russians.

£300 grand a week for terry..£40 mill bid.

Seems the sun news paper reckons we are going to offer Terry this silly amount of money despite our owners saying that they will not be foolish.
What a load of booolacks.
weve held our offer to lescott at 15 mill so we should forget about terry for now..this sort of money could also play into the hands of Eto'o and he could well demand more..
we pay Robbie 160 grand a week and this is as far as we should go..
I hope the Suns legal team know what they're doing cos this stinks of a made up story if I ever heard one.
