I think some of you ought to go back a few pages on this thread, and actually try reading what was going on here last night instead of just jumping in with both feet in your gobs.

More is less.

Never thought he was but not because I read anything in a paper ? especially any that run that hes staying on one page and going on another. Before you completely transform into an arsehole realise I was just pointing out the inconsistency and how useless even the broadsheets are.
Fucking sphincter !

You have a lovely way with words!

You appeared to need explanations in a manner you can understand. Shouting is usually the give away.

Im of the opinion that this is still on for a couple of reasons?

1)No direct quotes in any of the stories

2) 2 chelsea players (Drogba and Mikel) have come out to the press in the last two days and either signed or confirmed that they will be signing extended contracts. Chelsea the club captain still hasnt

Everyone seems to be saying "these articles mean nothing".... "but he isn't coming anyway".

I don't buy that. I am think 70% chance he's coming.

He's clearly not 100% happy at Chelsea or he would have come out ages ago and quashed all these rumours. And if he signs another contract with them, he can resign himself to hanging up his boots there, which he may well be very uncomfortable doing.

At the same time, whatever Chelsea offer him, he knows he's having to take a massive sacrifice on his earnings to stay there. And he looks over the fence and sees us signing Barry, Tevez, Adebayor etc. And narrowly missing out on Kaka and Etoo.

He's probably thinking "my God they will probably sign Messi in January and they are going to be winning EVERYTHING over the next 3~5 years". Everyone else is secretly thinking that! (WOOT WOOT!) "And I have to sit here on less pay with that miserable cnut Abramovich leering at me. No thanks, I am off."

Even if we don't get Terry, we could possibly look good in all this.

The fact were still in with a chance speaks volumes and if he's holding out for a new contract we will come up trumps, with Terry looking like the villain of all this then we can move onto our next target(s).

If he is interested though, obviously he can request a move and we could perhaps get him for a knockdown price, rather than the £50m that has been quoted and have the England captain in our ranks to raise our profile.

I feel with been very clever with this transfer and can't wait for the result either way!

BBC Radio Manchester saying they can't seem to source it beyond some Chelski propoganda started on Monday by the chav-in-chief, Anchalotti. It was mentioned almost in passing but it's interesting, nonetheless. Wouldn't be the first time Chelski came out with a load of crap that the papers then repeated and embellished.

THE SILENCE IS DEAFENING.

What have you done with the real Meldrew?
