Mr Chelsea has still not expressed a desire to stay with Chelsea, i'll believe he's staying when i hear it from his gob! until them MCFC are still very much in the mix!

I think he is thinking about it, seriously, the ssn reporter who was outside Sb before Ancelottis press conf, said that he had tried to contact Terrys agent, he said come on pick up your phone, why wouldnt he answer if Terry was definatly staying, i think he will see how much more money he will be offered, we have prob told him, hel be our leader, wel build the team around him, plus great wages, he would be a fool not to think about it, plus if cashleys wanting a move abroad, wel see.

What's changed is that Ancellotti has used his press conference to say that he's staying. Now the only way for the deal to happen is for Terry to rock the boat, and I can't see that happening. Silence from John Terry is not what's required, it's a transfer request.

Looks like City have moved on anyway

Yeah you could be on to something there mate. We're flying out to Germany anyway so we could use that as a bluff to Chelsea rather than JT. If we put in a bid in the next 48 hours they would have reason to believe that it's now or never, otherwise we buy Lucio. Then, if reports are true that Chelsea would accept a £40 million bid, it's up to the player. And as has been mentioned many times in this thread, we would not have bid if we didn't think the player would be interested.

You do realise he still has 3 years on his current contract? Lamps and terry have a clause in their contracts that they both have to be paid parity with highest earners! if terry gets an extra 50k per week so does lampard.

Exactly. I'm confident that Chelsea won't offer him a new deal, it may be mroe to do with the relative lack of ambition shown by Chelsea in the transfer market in comparison to us. Terry told Red Rom to go and buy Ribery and David Villa, neither has materialised. IF we did get Tevez and Eto'o and perhaps Lucio or Maicon to go with them, he could well be tempted.

terry im sure knows what wages are on offer and then this saga will either end in us getting him or not quickly rather than it drag on like kakagate and ronaldinhogate.

City's interest in Terry is real and Terry's interest in City is real.
Thinking that he's using City to improve his contract at Chelsea is ludicrous......do you really think that his agent would jeopardize a good relationship with our club at the stage we're at just to bump up his clients wages at another club?
The same reason why Kia Joorabchian wont fuck us about in the Tevez deal.
Remember we're holding the purse strings now and it's the agents phoning us (my client is available) not the other way around, if we like them we enquire!
