The Webster ruling is covered under FIFA's Article 17.

I posted it last night in a thread which got deleted because it got infested by idiots.
Basically any player who is in the third year of his contract and is over 28 years of age can buy himself out of the deal.

Terry is only 2 years in but this effectively puts him in the last year of his contract under this ruling.

The question then is, do Chelsea accept £30 million of us now, or allow Terry to buy himself out for £14 million next summer

Its dead quite, you wouldve thought the media wouldve been all over it like a rash if he wasnt there. You wouldve also thought that SSN wouldve been wanking off if hed rocked up ready to train with the rest of the sqaud declaring "TERRY SNUBS CITY". Interesting to say the least.

Gents (and any ladies) I am not going to speculate or post something I cannot back up...if I did, they'd be folks getting excited, reading too much into it, take tomorrow off to see what happens, throwing their weekly wage on a bet etc etc and then trying to hound me out of town. I understand that but the maximum contract you can sign is for five years so if he signed in 07 this would only be his second, or more to the point not his third season
